Companies can purchase carbon credits using the CTX trading platform whether they need to source regulatory credits for compliance purposes or voluntary carbon credits to tackle their residual emissions

Every carbon credit traded on CTX is verified by independent organisations to ensure that buyers are purchasing real emission reductions from validated carbon projects. CTX allows members to spot trade Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) which are generated under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Verified Emission Reductions (VERs), certified by recognised non-for profit standards organisations.

Through the CTX platform, voluntary buyers can choose from a wide variety of projects and have access to marketing material such as images, videos, maps and project design documents (PDDs). These can be used as tools to ensure that your investment in a carbon project can be easily showcased to your stakeholders, clients and potential investors.

CTX enables you to purchase credits and assists you in:

• Managing your risk exposure to the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and other schemes
• Committing to employees, stakeholders and customers in becoming carbon neutral
• Preparing for impending emissions regulation – reduce compliance costs
• Offering carbon neutral products and services
• Reducing your impacts on the environment as part of your CSR initiatives
• Promoting your brand and gaining competitive advantage / differentiation
• Becoming more attractive to potential investors who are socially responsible
• Engaging in carbon free supply chains
• Cost effectively dealing with your companies emissions that are classed as ‘high hanging fruit’ and cannot be realistically reduced by implementing new technology
