Wayne Sharpe, CTX Founder and Chairman

Wayne has led Bartercard from its inception 21 years ago to its current position as a global leader in the barter industry operating from over 110 offices today with some 2,000 personnel employed under it banner. Bartercard is the world’s largest non-cash credit unit exchange and has operated in 20 countries and completed over $30 billion in trade.

For the past 15 years he became increasingly aware then concerned over the issue of global warming, and studied it in detail. The gap in communication between the business/finance sector and the environmental sectors seeking to solve this momentous problem became clear, and Wayne felt he could apply his unique combination of skills and knowledge to a global solution using cutting edge technology and the internet.

After selling Bartercard’s flagship operation in Australia in 2007 ($25.5 million), Wayne attended the UN climate change conference in Bali, and has shifted his focus and entrepreneurial skills to helping save our planet. Wayne is the major shareholder of CTX and full time CEO.
