Carbon Trade Exchange is dedicated to reducing the impact its business has on the environment
Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to Carbon Trade Exchange’s professional activities and the management of the organisation. We aim to follow and promote good sustainability practice, reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and help our clients and partners to do the same.
Carbon Trade Exchange’s commitment to corporate sustainability translates as managing environmental, social and supply chain impacts and risks to ensure sustainable development outcomes for the benefit of stakeholders and the broader community. Carbon Trade Exchange recognises that it must do this by acting in a responsible and sustainable manner.
The majority of CTX’s emissions arise from energy consumption during day-to-day business operations in both the offices in London and Sydney and emissions associated with business travel. CTX has utilised Microsoft Cloud Technology to ensure that server energy consumption is minimised thanks to economies of scale compared to smaller and more consuming servers.
Carbon Trade Exchange is committed to:
- Complying with, and exceeding where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice
- Integrating sustainability considerations into all our business decisions
- Making sure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it
- Minimising the impact of all office and transportation activities on the environment including improving resource efficiency and recycling
- Engaging with our suppliers and clients to improve sustainability performance of our supply chain and encourage our clients to adopt sustainable management practices
- Developing, recognising and rewarding our staff to adopt a high performance culture committed to sustainability
